Fireballs have three types of jackpots; the regular, studio managed jackpots, funded and managed by the studios, referred to as Jackpots. The operator overwrites referred to as Jackpot overwrites, are managed and funded by the operator. The Fireball managed, global jackpots, managed and funded by Fireball, which can span across multiple games and operators.
The regular jackpots are entirely managed and funded by the studio for their games. The operator will be billed the jackpot contribution amount by the studio and the end of each month, and the studio will pay the operator when a jackpot is won.
The global jackpots are funded and managed by Fireball and are shared across multiple games and operators. Fireball will bill the operator for the jackpot contribution and the end of each month, and Fireball will pay the operator when a jackpot is won by one of their players.
The jackpot overwrites is a way for the operator to take control of the regular, and global jackpots.
When a jackpot is overwritten, the jackpot becomes the operators and is limited to only them and their games. In this case, the responsibility of funding and paying out the jackpot rests on the operator.
